SLINGS FOR FEMALE INCONTINENCE
A urethral sling is a procedure used to treat stress urinary incontinence in women.
Two types of urethral sling procedures are commonly used:
- Slings made of synthetic material (known as mesh slings, tapes or mid-urethral slings).
- Slings using the body’s own tissue (known as autologous or fascial slings).
At Brisbane Urology Clinic, our Urologists are highly experienced in the use of synthetic and autologous slings in the management of stress urinary incontinence in women.
