Chronic prostatitis is also known as prostate pain syndrome (PPS) and chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS). It is a common condition which can cause urinary and ejaculatory problems and pelvic, perineal, scrotal and penile pain. There are many different causes for chronic prostatitis, including infection, inflammation, nerve changes, and muscle spasm.

Chronic prostatitis often requires a combination of treatments to settle the symptoms of the disease. At Brisbane Urology Clinic, our urologists are experienced in the multidisciplinary care of men with chronic prostatitis.
